Ancient Words 古老圣言

Over the last 30 years in my life, I am deeply convinced that God’s children can only live in God’s Word, walk in God’s Word, serve by God’s Word, race with God’s Word, and live by God’s Word. The world is surrounded by darkness. Yet, light comes from God’s Word. Without it, we can’t move a single step ahead in our life.

Jesus said, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)

Whenever you read the Bible or listen to sermons, have you ever heard God speak to your heart through His Word (the Bible)? If you have known God for some time, try to recall the moments of life when you were inspired to make changes in your life after reading or hearing God’s Word. Think about how God’s Word has created beauty, life and blessings for us all.

God’s Word is effectual for our lives – when we return to God’s Word, the Holy Spirit starts to work. We will then experience healings, and our lives will bear much fruit. Today, God is still speaking to us through the Bible, and He is giving us new lives in Him, so that we can serve Him on earth, for His glory.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” (Matthew 24:35)

I hope through this hymn “Ancient Words”, our indifference to God’s Word be melt down, our sleeping spirit be awakened, and our earnest for his Word be rekindled.
