Our Seniors Ministry exists to walk alongside older brothers and sisters in this season of life through community, the Word, and mutual care.
About Us
Newton Life Church’s Seniors Ministry has a long and faithful history. Its roots trace back to the 1980s, when Singapore began facing the realities of an ageing population. A seminar was held for Chinese-speaking church pastors, which led to the formation of the Teochew Gospel Outreach — a ministry that has now served for over three decades.
Within NLC, our Seniors Ministry was established in the 1990s by the late Elder Tan Lip Chit and Rev Choo Yee Kee. What began as a monthly gathering has grown and evolved over the decades. Since 2023, the church restructured its pastoral care along generational lines of Children, Youth, Young Adults, Couples, and Seniors, reflecting a commitment to building Christ-like families across every stage of life.
Today, our seniors community is one of the largest in the church, comprising nine cell groups that gather regularly for fellowship, prayer, and the Word.
Our Gatherings
We currently have two fellowship groups, and warmly welcome all older brothers and sisters to join us:
晋乐 Fellowship: Every Thursday at 10.00am in Room 401.
Caleb Fellowship: On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, after the morning service.
